Day 1

Foundational Skills

The Director's Role: Explore the responsibilities and approaches of a director.

Script Analysis: Break down scripts to identify plot, character arcs, themes, and visual opportunities.

Visual Storytelling: Learn about shot composition, camera movement, lighting, and mise-en-scene.

DAY 2

Directing Actors and Crew

3 Hours

Working with Actors: Develop characters, block scenes, and communicate effectively with actors.

Collaborating with the Crew: Understand the roles of key crew members and communicate your vision.

Pre-Production Planning: Create shot lists, storyboards, and plan for locations, schedules, and budgets.

Directing on Set and Post-Production

3 Hours

Directing on Set: Give clear directions, adapt to unexpected situations, and maintain a positive environment.

Post-Production Workflow: Work with editors, incorporate sound design, and finalize your project.

Distribution and Marketing: Learn how to market your short film, navigate the route from short films to feature films, and build a network in the industry.
